Tuesday March 28

10:00 AM  –  2:00 PM

Tuesday, March 28

In anticipation of the opening of CHM’s Back Home: Polish Chicago exhibition, join us on Tuesday, March 28 for a morning filled with Polish history and culture.

Our first stop will be the Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church, founded in 1872, to view the ornate décor and relic-holding catacombs. Then, we will tour the Polish Museum of America and see their treasures, including an exhibition on Chicago’s Polish community, a folk art collection, suits of armor belonging to the Polish Cavalry, and their stained glass window that was displayed at the 1939 World’s Fair. We’ll conclude our morning with a lunch of traditional Polish cuisine at Staropolska (voted the city’s best Polish restaurant by the Chicago Reader). Friends and guests are very welcome.

A group of us will meet at the Chicago History Museum at 9:45 a.m. to board a charter bus. Please contact Nell McKeown at mckeown@chicagohistory.org to let us know whether you would like to take the bus or transport yourself to our first stop, Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church (1118 N Noble St).

If you already have a ticket and wish to add more, or if you prefer to pay by phone, please contact Nell McKeown at 312-799-2112. Checks may be sent to the below address:
