Tuesday March 28

10:00 AM  –  2:00 PM

Tuesday, March 28

In anticipation of the opening of CHM’s Back Home: Polish Chicago exhibition, join us on Tuesday, March 28 for a morning filled with Polish history and culture.

Our first stop will be the Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church, founded in 1872, to view the ornate décor and relic-holding catacombs. Then, we will tour the Polish Museum of America and see their treasures, including an exhibition on Chicago’s Polish community, a folk art collection, suits of armor belonging to the Polish Cavalry, and their stained glass window that was displayed at the 1939 World’s Fair. We’ll conclude our morning with a lunch of traditional Polish cuisine at Staropolska (voted the city’s best Polish restaurant by the Chicago Reader). Friends and guests are very welcome.

A group of us will meet at the Chicago History Museum at 9:45 a.m. to board a charter bus. Please contact Nell McKeown at to let us know whether you would like to take the bus or transport yourself to our first stop, Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church (1118 N Noble St).

If you already have a ticket and wish to add more, or if you prefer to pay by phone, please contact Nell McKeown at 312-799-2112. Checks may be sent to the below address:
