Navroz Muburak! Blessed New Year!

Discover the vibrant festival of Navroz, a cultural celebration cherished by over 300 million people in Iran, Tajikistan, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and many other countries. In Farsi, Navroz (or Nowruz) means “new day” and signifies nature’s rebirth, marking the beginning of the Persian New Year.

Experience this festival of renewal at the Chicago History Museum as the Ismaili Council for the Midwestern US hosts a celebration featuring live performances, storytelling, and music. At the self-guided, pop-up exhibition, learn about the holiday’s history and traditions and see a modern-day interpretation of a Haft-Seen table.

Free with general admission.
