This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday May 25

6:00 PM  –  7:00 PM

The Chicago History Museum, in partnership with the Chicago Collections Consortium, presents a free virtual talk with Patrick T. Reardon on his recently published book, The Loop: The “L” Tracks that Shaped and Saved Chicago.

The Loop is a history of the transportation icon that anchors Chicago’s downtown—one of the most important structures ever built in the city.  Even more, it tells the story of Chicago from the inside, combining fields such as engineering, art, urban history, cultural studies, architecture, finance, and politics in ways that develop new and surprising insights into what has made Chicago tick.

The book can be purchased at Chicago History Museum’s gift shop, CTAgift.com, as well as local and online booksellers.

This event runs approximately one hour and is free of charge. We would greatly appreciate a donation to the Museum in any amount. A Zoom link will be provided after registration.
