Virtual Event | AAPI Civic Talk
This event is no longer on sale.
Social constructs related to the COVID-19 pandemic have fueled recent attacks on Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the United States, but this violence has historic precedence dating back to when the very first groups began to immigrate.
Join the Chicago History Museum for a moderated panel discussion with educators, activists, and journalists of AAPI heritage as they provide context for this legacy, share their thoughts and scholarship on how current events have affected their communities, and imagine a liberated AAPI future.
This event runs approximately 90 minutes and is free of charge. We would greatly appreciate a donation to the Museum in any amount. A Zoom link will be provided after registration.
