Virtual Urban History Seminar | "Spiritual Criminals"
The Urban History Seminar series feature a scholarly presentation followed by lively discussion. Michelle Nickerson, a Professor of History at Loyola University Chicago, presents “Spiritual Criminals: How the Camden 28 Put the Vietnam War on Trial.”
Nickerson shares the story of the Camden 28, offering a multi-layered portrait of a passionate group of progressive priests, nuns, and devout Catholics who raided a draft board during the Vietnam War, challenging the nation’s military-industrial complex.
